Atletico Trotters is an FA-accredited football club based in Brentwood, Essex. Originally founded in 2009 as a men’s team, the club has grown to include both youth and veteran squads. Throughout this growth, our ethos has remained the same — we are a club built around people.
Our Youth programme focuses on player development within a fun, supportive and inclusive environment. We now run 11 Youth teams from U7 to U14 competing in the Brentwood League and the Essex Girls League. We also operate Wildcats sessions for girls aged 5–11 and our Tiny Trotters sessions for Reception and Year 1 children every Saturday morning.
Our Men’s First Team competes in the Premier Division of the Chelmsford Sunday Football League, while our Veteran side plays in Division 1 of the Essex Veterans League.
Atletico Trotters is a proud founding club at Old Brentwoods — an exceptional sports and social facility with more than 700 members, hosting a variety of sports and activities and providing a home for all our teams. The clubhouse and grounds span over 20 acres and are run by members for the benefit of members, with all profits reinvested back into the club.
All Youth teams are supported by at least one FA Level 1 qualified coach, with several holding Level 2 qualifications. Our dedicated volunteer committees for both Adult and Youth sections ensure the club runs smoothly. All Youth volunteers are DBS-checked through the FA and trained for their respective roles.
